The Port of Dover is one of Europe's largest passenger ports and the nearest English port to France at just 21 miles (34 kilometres).

There's a cross channel ferry departure on average every 30 minutes from Dover, when taken across all operator schedules.
Foot passengers
Foot passenger services at the Ferry Terminal operate between 06.00hrs and 19.30hrs. Again, cross channel ferry departures occur about every 30 minutes when taken across all operator schedules.

Four ferry companies, P&O Ferries, DFDS Seaways, DFDS/LD Lines and MyFerryLink currently operate from the Port of Dover to Calais and Dunkerque.

All the above cross channel ferry companies operate from the Eastern Docks Ferry Port.
Facilities and provisions

If you have time to spare, the Port of Dover provides a range of refreshment and shopping facilities at the Passenger Services Buildings in the Eastern Docks Ferry Port including a Bureau de Change, Cafe Ritazza, Burger King and other retail outlets.

Lost property
A Lost & Found Property Office is located at Harbour House Reception. To check for found property or to report a loss call 01304 245392 during opening hours weekdays except bank holidays 0800hrs to 1700hrs or email property.office@doverport.co.uk .
Seasonal notes
School holiday season: During school holidays, Passenger Services Buildings East and West are open 24 hours. For the remainder of the summer season, opening times for Passenger Services Building East and West are reduced as follows:
- 06:30hrs to 21:15hrs (Burger King is open from 09:00hrs - 18:00hrs)
- During winter, the opening hours are further reduced to 07:00hrs - 17:00hrs
Opening hours may change due to maintenance and servicing commitments throughout the year.

Passengers are reminded that the use of hand held mobile phones while driving in the Port is strictly prohibited.
