Our Policies and Procedures
Class Definition: At the time of going live with this Publication Scheme we are currently writing and reviewing a number of local policy areas and as such are unable to load all of our policies onto our web site at present. New policies may also be added in time. Currently, and where appropriate, we follow national guidelines, policies and codes of practice. It is intended that here you will find the current statements of principle providing guidance and direction to staff in respect of a specific issue or piece of legislation. Our policies will establish the expected organisational behaviour in line with organisational objectives leading to a consistent approach to decision making. Our policies will set out broad expectations and will be the framework from which procedure flows.
It should be noted that some of the material in this Class contains exempt information, which in the public interest, should not be published. When this occurs the material will clearly show where information has been withheld and explain what exemption has been applied and why. Typically information may be withheld if its release would compromise the health and safety of staff, investigations and proceedings and law enforcement more generally.

Cost: Free of charge.
