Cruise Facilities
The Port of Dover has two impressive state-of-the-art terminals that between them can accommodate up to three ships at once.
Location too is impressive: perfectly positioned for cruise passangers to take full advantage of excellent pre and post cruise accommodation and historic attractions in the region.
Both terminals provide:
- Fast, efficient check-ins
- Spacious, comfortable departure lounges
- Stylish café bars providing drinks and snacks, operated by Riverside Catering
- Washrooms including disabled facilities
- ‘Airline’ style walkways between terminals and ships
- Lifts to all floors

Easy access onsite car park (due to the size of the car parks, a shuttle serivce will take passengers from the onsite car park to the Terminal)
- Bureau De Change for all ports of call and selected turnaround cruises
- Wheelchair friendly ramps and walkways
- Experienced baggage handlers
- Secure berths (with no access to the general public)
A third terminal, is available for small ship visits.
Cruise Terminal 1
Originally built in 1914 as Dover Marine Railway Station, the building has since been renovated to the highest standard as a state-of-the-art cruise terminal, but retaining the old station architecture for cruise clients to enjoy whilst relaxing in the stunning modern-day departure lounge.
General Services:
- Porters - Departing and arriving, cruise passengers are helped with their luggage by experienced and friendly porters.
- Bureau de change - Cruise Terminal 1 has a dedicated currency exchange service for all ports of call and for selected turnaround cruises.
- Catering facilities - Unwinding in the stylish café, cruise passengers can relax with a drink and light refreshment whilst enjoying the atmosphere of the building’s iconic architecture.
Cruise Terminal 2
The largest of the terminals, Cruise Terminal 2 was purpose built in 2000 along the lines of an airport terminal. It is sleek and modern; every inch a 21st century cruise terminal.
From the first floor departure lounge cruise clients can experience unimpeded, spectacular views of the harbour, the world-renowned White Cliffs and Dover Castle.

Cruise Terminal 3
A third terminal, is available for small ship visits.
In addition to our two dedicated terminals, we also have an adjacent third berth ideal for port of call visits. At the far end of Admiralty Pier, Cruise Terminal 3 provides berthing for cruise ships up to 180 metres in size and passengers travelling out of this terminal check–in at a specially designed, dedicated gazebo space.
