LIMITED BERTHS FOR VISITORS AVAILABLE FROM JULY 4TH 2022

We recently advised that some important works had to be undertaken during the 2022 summer season in order to enable the new marina and boatyard to fully open in 2023, and that this regrettably meant the temporary closure of Dover Marina to new customers and visitors during a three-month period from mid-May.

Following better than anticipated progress and excellent cooperation from our existing berth holders, we have been able to review our temporary closure decision and Dover Marina is very pleased to report that we will now be able to offer limited availability of berths for visitors throughout the summer, commencing 4th July.

In order to effectively manage our limited capacity, anyone considering a visit to Dover Marina must email or telephone the Marina Office to secure an available berth before sailing to Dover.

ANNOUNCEMENT

Make Dover Marina your place to be in 2023

Dover Marina has taken a step closer to becoming the new destination for berth holders and visitors to enjoy. The new waterfront is starting to take shape with Clock Tower Square offering a selection of food and drink amid fresh design features that combine with artefacts from Dover’s history to create a contemporary site that also celebrates the Port’s rich heritage.

With our development partners poised to begin construction of ‘The Electric Motel’ (with café and bar), soon it will be possible to experience an affordable luxury stay supported by “off-grid” green energy. Together with a similarly sustainable and adjoining mixed-use scheme, as well as a developing cultural programme of music and events, the waterfront will provide vibrancy and interest for future berth holders and visitors looking to stay at an iconic location with the backdrop of the famous White Cliffs and Dover Castle.

Final work is being undertaken to enable our new marina to open along with a wider marina improvement programme that will unlock a number of further benefits, including the opening of our new boat yard.

If you keep a keen eye on progress at Dover, you will see some berth holders with their boats moored in part of the new marina during the summer period as we are having to move them there in order to carry out work elsewhere, so you’ll be able to picture just how good you and your boat could look when surrounded by the bustling waterfront we are building.

 Why Choose Dover Marina?

Dover Marina, one of the best known marinas on the South Coast is incredibly convenient for cross-Channel sailing. There is no marina closer to France and just 20 miles separates the cliffs of England and France – and it’s a similar distance from our neighbouring marinas if you are sailing around the UK coast.

Set against the iconic backdrop of the famous White Cliffs, the award-winning Dover Marina is the most convenient location for cross-Channel sailing. Situated at the closest point to Europe and just 20 miles from France, it is with easy sailing distance of the French marinas of Boulogne, Calais, Gravelines and Dunkerque, and the Belgian and Dutch coasts. In addition to its close vicinity to Europe, the marina also benefits from excellent road access from London and the Home Counties.

Dover Marina is situated in a sheltered corner of the harbour and provides 400 berths in three berthing areas key-coded for security. It offers a superb range of facilities and services.

As a member of TransEurope Marinas, Dover Marina is able to offer its resident berth holders a discount on mooring fees when they visit other TransEurope members’ marinas.

Port of Dover is proud of its staff and excellent customer service ensuring all Marina Users have the best experience possible.

Please be aware of our on-going Dover Western Docks Revival (DWDR) development and necessary procedures before arrival, which will effect all Dover Marina customers.
